Meet the Cookier
Hello, my name is Dani Annala. I grew up in the Columbia River Gorge and currently reside in Hood River, Oregon with my husband and two children. We live on and operate a family pear orchard. By day I am an educator for Oregon State University Extension Service where I focus on Positive Youth Development. In the evenings I manage Dani's Kitchen Shop where my focus in custom sugar cookies.
The idea of Dani’s Kitchen Shop started long before it became a reality. I’ve always enjoyed sharing my baking with family, friends and my community. Cookies are one of my most requested items. As a self-taught decorator, I get to continually learn and grow my artistic creativity. So with lots of planning and formulating, I finally launched “Phase 1” of my business—custom sugar cookies!
November 28, 2019 marked "Phase 2" of my business. I temporarily stepped away from my day job to focus on family and cookies. I have goals of expanding my product offerings and learn new techniques.
In January of 2020, I returned to working full time with Oregon State University. Cookies continue on while I work towards building stability for my family with the goal of growing my business in the future.
I thrive on learning, planning and creating which is why custom cookies have been a great fit. I love throwing a well-planned party or finding a personalized way to tell someone I care. I would love the opportunity to help bring the perfect cookies to you.
In September 2020 I completed my family with a baby girl.
