Hello, my name is Dani Annala. I grew up in the Columbia River Gorge and currently reside in Hood River, Oregon with my husband and two children. We live on and operate a family pear orchard. I run Dani's Kitchen Shop full-time and help my husband with the orchard.
The idea of Dani’s Kitchen Shop started long before it became a reality. I’ve always enjoyed sharing my baking with family, friends and my community. Cookies are one of my most requested items. As a self-taught decorator, I get to continually learn and grow my artistic creativity. So with lots of planning and formulating, in 2019 launched “Phase 1” of my business—custom sugar cookies!
November 28, 2019 marked "Phase 2" of my business. I temporarily stepped away from my day job as a food safety coordinator to focus on family, cookies and re-evaluate.
In January of 2020, I returned to working full time with Oregon State University as a 4-H Youth Development Coordinator. Cookies continued on while I work towards building stability for my family with the goal of growing my business in the future.
October 1, 2021, roughly three years in business, I decided it was time to focus all of my energy on expanding my business, raising my kids and living my best life. Stay tuned as I build out the commercial kitchen of my dreams and launch many more opportunities that will combine my love for quality food and learning.
I thrive on learning, planning and creating which is why custom cookies have been a great fit. I love throwing a well-planned party or finding a personalized way to tell someone I care. I would love the opportunity to help bring the perfect cookies to you.
